kite beach of Punta Trettu is perfect both for beginners and advanced kiters thanks to the shallow flat water and the sandy backdrop that allow to walk from the beach for hundred of meters. People that come once in Punta Trettu, usually come back again and again.
Punta Trettu , in the South West of Sardinia island, is famous as perfect place for kite surfing. In fact, with a sandy bottom, flat shallow water and a high percentage of windy days, Punta Trettu is considered a paradise for kitesurfing.
Kite Zones in Punta Trettu
Although Punta Trettu is a place where there are almost no bathers because
- the really shallow water (and somewhere muddy),
- the availability of just a small beach,
- the constant blowing wind,
kitesurfing is allowed just in certain zones.
In fact, because the Coast Guard safety rules and the presence of a route boat channel, two kite zones where have been identified:
- a kite zone for the kite schools and their courses / lessons,
- a kite zone for the indipendent kiters.
In the other areas. kitesurfing is not allowed.
People that will kitesurf out of the allowed kite zones could incur into a huge fine from the sea police and Coast Guard Coast.
